Traditional puppet theatre Zvonecek started 1968 in flat and later cellar of Jiri Vorel and his family in Branik, Prague. It's plays were very successful so the theatre started to perform regularly and moved firs to Kulturni dum in Branicka street, later in 1983 to Kulturni centrum Novodvorska, where it shows about 17 various plays for children. On the repertoire there are classical international fairy-tales like Cinderella (Popelka), Snowhite (Snehurka a 7 trpasliku) or Sleeping Beauty (Sipkova Ruzenka), also Czech puppet classics with small Punch/Kasparek (Pohadka o Draku, Kasparek leti do pohadky ...) and known fairy-tales Beatles (Broucci) or Freddy the Ant (Ferda Mravenec a kamaradi). These plays are played with valuable marionettes on strings or wire in height of 35 to 70 cm. There ale also three hand puppet plays on the repertoire. In January 2009 celebrated TLD Zvonecek it's 40th birthday. In this time there were 4 generations of puppet-actors and actresses and 8 generations of child audience raised.
