The largest opera festival in the Czech Republic - the only show presenting the best productions of all national opera ensembles It has been held mostly at The Prague National Theatre and The Prague State Opera House every other year since 1993. The Festival was created with the goal to draw attention, in the world context, to the very rare network of national opera theatres where many interesting productions are created every year. The current goal of the Festival is to mainly introduce the Czech opera as a whole, confronting its quality on a regular basis. The Festival is not commercial, the ticket price is such so that the Festival is available to as many national viewers as possible. |
